John’s career started in the City of Philadelphia, but ever since he was little boy he loved food. His mother always took him on trips and on those trips food was a big part of it. At a young age he knew what he wanted to be, he wanted to be a Chef, he wanted to feed people. At the age of 16 he decided to start working in the food industry, at the age of 17 he became Kitchen Manager for an upscale sports lounge and after a few years in the business, he decided to attend The Restaurant School of Philadelphia and that’s where it all began. He started working hard at pursuing his career, opening different concepts in New York, Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard and Boston to name a few and holding positions as Private Yacht Chef, Chef Instructor, Private Chef for America’s Elite, Executive Chef, Chef Consultant, Sous Chef, G/M etc…
After being in the industry for 20 years, about a year ago “John had an epiphany” he decided to showcase his talents and share them with everyone possible not just his friends. He started looking for ways with little startup capital, he searched for small prime locations, but opening costs were too high, so he came up with a crazy idea,” Why not just open a sandwich truck?” He loves sandwiches so much that after working in various concepts he decided to be a Bad Ass, be a rebel and opened BAD AS’S SANDWICH.
